Meet the President

Jan S. Irwin, M.A. CCC-SLP, CEO/President

Jan is the owner of Key Rehabilitation, a privately held company and was one of Key’s original founders. Jan previously held positions as Executive Vice President of Operations of a comprehensive rehabilitation corporation and Vice President of Clinical Operations for a national rehabilitation corporation. Since receiving her Master’s Degree from the University of Iowa, Jan has worked in a variety of settings including SNFs, hospital, subacute rehabilitation, long term care, specialized traumatic brain injury, home health and outpatient. Jan spent many years as a CARF surveyor and has presented at CARF conferences. Jan is a Speech-Language Pathologist by training, maintains her ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competency, and as a Speech-Pathologist, Jan has been appointed by the Governors of both Tennessee and Iowa to serve on the Board of Examiners for Speech Pathology and Audiology. Jan has been honored to serve in various capacities for several state and national associations, including most recently the Board of Directors for NASL (the National Association for the Support of Long term Care). Jan takes pride in her skills of leadership development, clinical excellence and client relationships.

Jan lives in Murfreesboro, TN with her husband and her Australian Shepherd, Grover. They have one daughter, whose family lives close by so they are able to enjoy watching their two grandchildren grow up.
